Being a responsible company is not just about making profits and employing staff. It is also about ensuring our company gives back to the community and the country by supporting worthy goals and causes. Kiwiwebs and its team have a long tradition of supporting and here are a few of our more recent examples.

In January 2014, Kiwiwebs owner Nygllhuw decided to help the R. Tucker Thompson Sailing Trust by selling an historic telescope on TradeMe with a promise that 100% of the sale price would be donated to the trust. Surpassing expectations, the telescope sold for $4,610.

The donation was used to help fund a special voyage that was offered to students with limited ability to pay. The voyage was named the Puffin Voyage, after the name of the sail boat. 12 young people had the opportunity to experience a 7 day youth sailing voyage that they could not have afforded without the donation. We are very proud to have helped with this great cause.

SPCA Canterbury

Following the 2011 quake, Kiwiwebs and Animal Register Limited (both owned and managed by Nygllhuw from the Kiwiwebs offices), worked together to help Canterbury SPCA by providing a 24/7 tollfree 0800 lost pet helpline for both chipped and non-chipped pets. In 12 weeks over 25,000 phone calls and faxes were received, and over 800 adverts were placed. ARL also donated its time and share of 12,500 free registrations for Canterbury pet owners. The value of this support was over $80,000.
